Countrywide "Protect Our Home" Wristbands Are Now Available on EBay

Didn't think you could find everything on Ebay?  Guess again.  That's right, 6ba7_1 there is not just one auction running for these "hot items" believed to be a collector's item whether or not Countrywide survives.  Currently, there are already 5 auctions running, some with starting bids up to $100.

The first auction ends in 2 days and while the starting price was just $2.99, it's last bid was for $162.50 and will probably go considerably higher before the auction ends.

If your not sure what the wristband is being given to Countrywide employees for, here is the description off EBay:

"This wrist band was recently given out to all employees of Countrywide who signed a pledge to "tell the company's story" during the tough times that the mortgage industry is currently going through.  There has been an overwhelming request online for these wristbands by collectors, as well as members of the mortgage industry OUTSIDE of Countrywide."

So, go over to EBay and help your fellow mortgage professional out by "donating" to his potential job loss.

Warning:  It also says made in China so it could be recalled at a later date.

(Update:  As of 10/13 @ 13:34 ET, there are 17 auctions ruing, highest bid $182.50 and a new auction for a a shirt - probably more stuff to come)
